U.S. President Donald Trump has revealed his intention to purchase a Tesla in support of Elon Musk, the head of DOGE, following significant declines in the electric vehicle manufacturer's stock and boycotts linked to Musk's collaboration with the White House.
Trump defended Musk against what he termed the "Radical Left Lunatics," who have organized protests against Tesla as Musk has been working on reducing federal spending and jobs in his new role overseeing government efficiency.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump expressed his admiration for Musk, saying that he is "putting it on the line" for the nation and doing an excellent job.
He accused the radical left of attempting to undermine Tesla and Musk's efforts through illegal boycotts.
Trump announced his plan to buy a Tesla the following morning as a demonstration of confidence in Musk, emphasizing that he should not be penalized for using his talents to contribute to America's greatness.
Tesla's stock has seen a nearly 32% decline since the beginning of the year, with protests against Musk's policies occurring at various Tesla locations, including a recent incident in Manhattan that resulted in arrests and vandalism at a Colorado dealership.
