Why does AI kill creativity for many students in Tanzania?

The integration of AI into society presents both challenges and benefits, particularly affecting students in Tanzania who often rely on AI for answers without engaging their critical thinking.

While AI is designed to assist with complex tasks, it can also lead to a decline in critical skills that are essential for personal and professional growth.

This reliance on technology can kill creativity, especially when students face questions that require analytical thinking, such as the application of calculus in real-life scenarios.

Instead of utilizing their intellectual, many students turn to AI, which fosters dependency and undermines their innovative potential.

Dr Majaliwa said that the government is working to reform the education curriculum to better align with technological advances and scientific principles

AI kills creativity, that is , it is similar to blocking light in a plant , a situation where the plant can die and lose its best well-being.

As children's innate talents are most evident in their formative years, excessive reliance on AI can diminish their natural creative instincts, compensating them to depend on artificial intelligence that may not effectively nature their intellectual development.

Therefore, while AI offers certain advantages, it is crucial to monitor and limit its use among young children to safeguard their creative potential, because they possess the innate ability to generate new ideas and innovations.
