The Coast region's government has confiscated a shipment of stolen infrastructure materials discovered in a construction materials factory in Mkuranga.
This action followed the establishment of a special task force aimed at addressing the ongoing damage to infrastructure across various institutions, including Tanesco.
Abubakar Kunenge, the Head of the Coastal Region, along with regional leaders, inspected the recovered infrastructure, which was identified as belonging to Tanesco, Dawasa, and the Railway Corporation (TRC).
During a press briefing at the LN Feature Building Material factory, Kunenge expressed concern over citizens undermining government efforts and damaging essential services.
He emphasized the government's commitment to infrastructure improvement while condemning those who hinder progress, stating that they will take measures to identify and address the culprits involved in such sabotage.
