PRIME MINISTER, Kassim Majaliwa has asked religious institutions in the country to continue encouraging their believers to maintain peace and participate in development activities.
He said this today (Tuesday, January 14, 2025) when he met with the National leaders of the Ahmadiyya Islamic Community, the small office of the Prime Minister Oysterbay in Dar es Salaam. The new leaders of the community went for self-identification.
“... Work freely and do not doubt. Encourage Tanzanians to participate in developmental activities.” He has also advised the leaders to design economic projects as Tanzania has many developmental opportunities.” he said.
Likewise, Mr. Majaliwa has congratulated the community for the investment made in various sectors including health and education where he has promised that the Government will continue to cooperate in their efforts.
He has said that the Government, for its part, appreciates and recognizes the great contribution made by various religious institutions in the country, including the Ahmadiyya Islamic Community, so he has assured them of cooperation in the implementation of their duties.
On his part, the Commander and Chief Prophet of the Ahmadiyya Islamic Community, Sheikh, Khawaja Muzaffar Ahmad has congratulated the Government of Tanzania for the good work being done in serving Tanzanians. “I have lived in Tanzania for more than 20 years, it is a good country, congratulations for the good work you are doing.”
And, Deputy Commander, Sheikh Abdulrahman Mohammed Ame has used the opportunity to thank the Government for caring for its citizens and has promised the Prime Minister that their institution is ready to cooperate with the Government in various issues including investment.
