On January 10, 2025, President Samia Suluhu Hassan provided various forms of assistance, including food supplies, to the Rahma Orphanage and Elderly Care Center located in the Mkimbizi ward of Iringa Municipality.
This initiative is part of her commitment to engage with different community groups.
The donations included cooking oil, rice, and sugar, benefiting a total of 79 children.
During the handover, Sebastian Kitiku, the Director of the Child Development Department, representing the Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Community Development, Gender, Women, and Special Groups, emphasized that this support reflects President Samia's dedication to promoting compassion and love across all regions.
He also praised Asas Companies for establishing the center, highlighting their efforts to align with the government's policy of supporting all children without discrimination.
Othman Kabamba, the center's supervisor, expressed gratitude to President Samia for the essential supplies, noting that this assistance demonstrates a significant display of love for the children.
