Chairman of UWT Kilosa District, Mr. Jamillah Hassan Miyonga, took the opportunity of New Year's Day to bring joy to Salome Bernard, a woman paralyzed in her legs.
For over 25 years, Mrs. Salome had been confined indoors, relying on her bed for all activities.
In a gesture of goodwill, Chairman Miyonga presented her with various gifts, including a multifunctional chair, mattress, sheets, and other essential items.
He also conveyed holiday greetings on behalf of Hon. President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan and UWT Taifa Hon. Chairwoman Marry Chatanda, emphasizing the leaders' commitment to supporting families in need and serving as role models in the community.
Additionally, he shared a meal with Mrs. Salome's family, urging stakeholders and citizens of Kilosa District to recognize and assist others in similar situations, reinforcing the idea that compassion is a lasting legacy.
Chairman Miyonga also invited stakeholders to collaborate with UWT (W) Kilosa to support women in need within the district.
