Commissioner Musa Nassoro Kuji of the Tanzania National Parks Agency (TANAPA) has urged employees in the Western Region to remain dedicated to their roles in conserving and managing tourism activities.
During a meeting on January 24, 2025, in Bunda, he emphasized the importance of their contributions to the protection of National Parks.
Kuji also praised the team for their recent recognition in tax collection efforts, awarded by the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA), with the President of Tanzania, Hon. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, in attendance.
He highlighted TANAPA's efficiency and the accolades received, particularly for Serengeti, and expressed gratitude for the employees' commitment.
The Commissioner reassured them that "My ongoing visits aim to address operational challenges, reinforcing the agency's mission to enhance reserve protection and tourism development."
Commissioner Kuji , emphasized the importance of employees in maintaining all tourism resources in good condition to create a welcoming environment for both international and domestic visitors.
Tanzania has made significant efforts to enhance its tourism environment, largely due to President Samia's initiatives aimed at boosting the country's tourism sector. Tourism is one of Tanzania's major revenue sources, and President Samia's strategies have successfully increased income by 90% through tourism-related activities.
