The Chief of Defence Forces in Uganda, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, who is also the son of President Yoweri Museveni, stated that the only person preventing him from dealing with prominent politician Robert Kyagulanyi, known as Bobi Wine, is his father.
He claimed that if Museveni were not present, he would have already taken drastic action against Bobi Wine, a fact that Bobi Wine himself acknowledges.
Muhoozi expressed these sentiments on his X account, to which Bobi Wine responded, dismissing the threat as something he does not take lightly, especially considering the history of violence associated with Muhoozi and his father.
He emphasized his refusal to be intimidated by a regime he views as cowardly, asserting that the world is watching.
Muhoozi revealed that he and other generals had initially advised President Museveni to use Bobi Wine to undermine opposition leader Kizza Besigye, but after Bobi Wine gained popularity and turned against them, he demanded the return of the funds they had lent him.
He also ordered security forces to arrest Bobi Wine if he insults President Museveni, even suggesting the use of force if necessary.
