Judge Mwanaisha's departure creates a significant void in the judiciary of Tanzania.

 

Prime minister while at Dodoma for condolences
Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa represented President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan at the funeral of Mr. Mwanaisha Kwariko on December 30, 2024.

 Mr. Kwariko, a Judge of the Court of Appeal and a member of the Independent National Electoral Commission, was remembered for his significant contributions and potential in his various roles.

 During his address to mourners in Kondoa, Dodoma Region, Mr. Majaliwa conveyed the President's sorrow over Mr. Kwariko's passing, highlighting his professionalism and integrity in public service. 

He urged the community to honor Mr. Kwariko's legacy by respecting his achievements and continuing to pray for him. 

Chief Justice of Tanzania, Professor Ibrahimu Juma, praised Mr. Kwariko for his commitment to serving the public and resolving conflicts with integrity.

 Additionally, Hon. Judge Jacobs Mwambegele, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, noted the loss of Mr. Kwariko during a critical time for the commission as it works on improving the voter registration process ahead of upcoming elections.
