The Vice President of the United States and the Presidential Candidate on the ticket of the Democratic Party, Kamala Harris, has given a speech accepting the defeat of the Presidential election held on tuesday and Donald Trump emerged as the winner where he has congratulated the Republican Trump for being re-elected to lead the nation.
Addressing thousands of his supporters in front of the Howard University buildings in Washington, Harris has asked his followers not to give up, asking them to continue fighting for the issues that fueled their enthusiasm during the campaign “The struggle for our freedom requires hard work but as I say we always like hard work, hard work is good work, the struggle for our country is worth”
“For the young people who are watching it is okay to be sad and feel bad but realize everything will be fine, in the campaign I said if we fight we will win but sometimes the fight takes time this does not mean we will not win, the important thing is that you should not give up, never give up, never stop trying to make the world a good place, you are strong and never listen to anyone who tells you something is impossible because it has never been done before”
Harris, who before her speech called Trump to accept defeat and congratulate him, said he and President Joe Biden will help achieve a peaceful exchange of power.
In another step, President Biden has also spoken to President-elect Trump by phone where he congratulated him on the victory he got in the November 5 election and invited him to visit the White House while he was preparing to take the reins of leadership.
Trump has now emerged as winner and has re-elected for the second time to lead the nation in the United States .
