Juma is a 26 _year_old graduate of the university of Dar es salaam, he started a course in agriculture and animal husbandry, after getting his degree in agriculture and animal husbandry, he decided to focus on corn farming .
"After finishing my degree in agriculture and animal husbandry, I decided to focus on corn farming, i invested $1000 in corn farming", he said .
He said that he started growing corn where he started from ten hectares of corn this is according to the amount of money he had , even though he encountered various challenges but they did not give him any problems because he studied the agricultural course .
"It took me two years to raise the level of $1000 to $1 million dollars, corn cultivation has challenges, for example there bacteria that often attack crops and cause small amount of corn harvest , these bacteria are like pesticides ", he said .
I was collaborating with various marketing experts in researching an important way to increase quality crops , this method also helped me grow and get crops in abundance, he added.
"Most of the time I was using fertilizers and antibiotics every two weeks, this method helped to increase the quality of corn and the good appearance of development", he told Mtemwapoetry.
Currently I cultivate more than two hundred hectares of corn , fortunately all the lands I cultivate have enough fertility, every time I harvest corn , I tend to plant corn again , so I cultivate more than three times a year , he added .
" I hope to make sure that I increase the amount of $ 1 million dollars to $ 1 billion dollars , I will be at a good point that I think in my mind , but I have also planned to increase two thousand hectares of corn because even the land is big enough ", he said .
Even the weather was helping , there was a lot of rain per year which is acceptable for corn cultivation.
Agriculture pays but has various challenges that requires education and a lot of time experience to be able to achieve success easily " ,he said.
