NMB Bank has signed an agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IFC) and Mastercard to launch the “Banking on Women Advisory Project,” which aims to improve financial solutions for women in Tanzania.
The agreement was signed at the annual meeting of the IFC Organization and the World Bank held in Washington DC, USA and attended by NMB Members led by the Chief Financial Officer, Juma Kimori accompanied by the Treasurer, Aziz Chacha and Senior Product Manager, Beatrice Mwambije.
The four-year project aims to come up with a financial solution that meets the needs of women commercially, including specific services, cheap loans and financial education, which is an important step in NMB bank's strategy to establish the financial inclusion of Tanzanians, through its policy “We Are Services, We have found you”.
Through the agreement, NMB Bank employees will also be trained to build their capacity to continue identifying opportunities to design more solutions that focus on financial and non-financial needs for women in the country in order to strengthen the group's contribution to social welfare and the national economy.
NMB bank has aimed to help mothers so that they can meet their needs ,commercially , educationally and economically where all women going through problems in the country will be able to ensure access to a lot of money that will improve their projects and their development foundations.
