China to finance the construction of SGR from Mwanza to Isaka

 Minister of Finance, Dr. Mwigulu Lameck Nchemba, has thanked China for reaching the final stages of financing the construction of the modern SGR railway which is currently ongoing for the fifth section from Mwanza to Isaka and promised to work on other requests for the sixth section that starts from Tabora to Kigoma.

Dr. Nchemba said this when he met and held talks with the Chinese Ambassador here in the country, Chen Mingjian, at the Small Offices of the Ministry of Finance in Dar es Salaam, where they discussed important issues of cooperation between China and Tanzania that has lasted for 60 years now.

Dr. Nchemba has said that the Modern Railway Project is important for the economy and development of Tanzanians and that Ambassador Chen's message that China through its Institutions is completing the internal procedures to provide funds for the construction of the railway has been received with open arms by the Government.

On his part, the Chinese Ambassador here in the country, Chen Mingjian, has said that his country considers its relationship with Tanzania to be unique and that the instructions of the country's leader, Mr. XI Jinping, is that he wants the relationship to be exemplary in Africa.

He has emphasized that Tanzania's request to get money for the fifth section and others to request funding for the construction of section 6 has been received and that his decision will be made soon after the few things being worked on are completed.

He said that China's three-year plan for cooperation between itself and African countries (FOCAC) has allocated a large amount of money to Tanzania that will be directed to projects that will strengthen the issues of  trade , Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

Tanzania and China are still increasing the bilateral relation in order to ensure that they continue improving financial relation , project construction and trade in order to increase more employment to the people.
