Little countries ought to be uphold

 The prime minister of Tanzania has taken part in a gathering of heads of government focused on the eventual fate of tomorrow, the gathering has mirrored the means and techniques that the heads of state will use to confront and settle different difficulties representing things to come .

" United Nations has great  support in strengthening small nations that do not have economic capacity in their internal plans ", he said .

He said this yesterday evening (Sunday, September 22, 2024), while presenting the greetings of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania at the opening of the two-day Meeting of Heads of State and Government to discuss the things of the future which started yesterday at the headquarters of the United Nations, in New York, United States.

The Prime Minister who is in the United States representing the President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan at the 79th Meeting of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA79), has explained to the members of the meeting about the Government's efforts on economic issues, defense and climate change.

Elaborating on the issue of the economy, the Prime Minister said: “, we ask the United Nations to support countries that do not have the capacity so that they can improve their economic plans that they have in their country. In Tanzania we have planned to build a better tomorrow for our people by strengthening agriculture, investment, industry, minerals and natural resources.”

“When you talk about the construction of a better tomorrow for your people, you cannot succeed if no country is safe; therefore, protection and security is an important issue and we have assured the international community that in addition to internal protection, protection for neighboring countries is still important,”he  added.

Regarding the issue of climate change, the Prime Minister has said that the world is currently witnessing a major impact on some countries due to social activities including drought, heavy rains that cause floods. “Tanzania is in the process of educating its citizens about climate change so that they can sit together and discuss how to deal with it while continuing with their economic work,” he  emphasized.

He also added that , Tanzania has already initiated various plans and foundations aimed at strengthening and protecting the community and citizens against climate change.
