Tanzania has asked all businessmen to be careful to import unofficial products into the country, where the goal is to protect the nation and all young people in a special moral position and good education.
"All Tanzanians and businessmen should provide information to the relevant authorities when they find that there are unofficial products from abroad , produced or distributed in the country", Dr Majaliwa.
He made the statement today (Thursday, August 29, 2024) while answering the question of the Member of Parliament for Hai, Saasisha Mafue during the live question session for the Prime Minister. The Member of Parliament wanted to know what statement the Government is making in order to control the behavior of young people to get drunk during the day, a situation that is caused by the arbitrary importation of strong alcohol.
“The government has a procedure to identify the production and importation of alcoholic beverages in the country which is controlled by issuing business permits to distributors. It also continues to provide education on the effects of excessive alcoholism to protect our youth.”, Dr Majaliwa.
The Prime Minister has used the opportunity to congratulate the President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan for encouraging young people to join groups so that they can do entrepreneurial activities. This process has helped our young people earn their personal income and their families.
In order to control the situation, the Prime Minister has said that the Government continues to provide education so that many young people can enter into entrepreneurial activities and strengthen the laws of importers, sellers and distributors to ensure that everything imported into the country meets the health needs of Tanzanians.
“The community should help us identify informal product manufacturing that has not received official permits as it contributes to making products with strong alcoholic beverages. I call on all institutions involved in youth issues to continue to provide entrepreneurship education, teach good values to our youth and give them life skills.",Dr Majaliwa.
At the same time, the Prime Minister has said that health services in the country have been greatly strengthened and large investments have been made to such an extent that the initial stages of identifying a pregnant mother can determine the type of disability for the child in the womb.
“Our studies from the Ministry of Health show that initial measures can identify disabilities and there is a high possibility of reducing disabilities by more than 80% percent. In that sense, the investment made starting from the level of clinics, health centers, district, regional, and national hospitals is not only to decide whether one hospital in the region provides services to the disabled but to all the centers that the Government has improved.”
The Government has found that informal products and one of the challenges of moral collapse for many young people aged from 18 to 45 , so it has controlled unofficial products to protect the nation and citizen in general.
The Government has also insisted that all young people should get an education to improve their lives of tomorrow , where education is their capital for the future and the nation as a whole .
