Tanzania has registered more than 5 million new voters in the country

 Prime minister , Kassim Majaliwa has said that according to the statistics of the 2022 population and housing census , a total of 5,586,433 million new voters will be registered in the permanent register of voters .

He has said that the voters are those who will have reached the age of 18 in the period starting in 2020 after the last general election and who will reach the age by the date of the 2025 general election.

He said this today when he launched the improvement of the permanent register of voters in Kawawa field , Kigoma region. The launch marks the start of the improvement of the permanent register of voters across the country where the regions that are starting to improve are Kigoma , Katavi and Tabora and then other regions to follow .

Tanzania is seeking to improve all the activities of the election before the launch of the final election by 2025 . Soon as the election start in 2025 every citizen will be required to vote according to by law of the country .

Dr . Majaliwa insisted that every Tanzanian members will be required to participate in the general election , but only those who will have more than 18 years , he also added that non _members from abroad will not be allowed to participate in the election  matters , this is according to the privacy policy of the country.
