The retired president of the United Republic of Tanzania has attended Lesotho for the development of SADC

 Retired President of the United Republic of Tanzania Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete  today on June 26, 2024 is in the Kingdom of Lesotho for his position as Chairman of the Elderly Panel of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).


This SADC Elders Panel whose Vice Chairman Paramasivum Pillay B. Vyapoory, the Retired Vice President of the Republic of Mauritius, has met with various Governments and Stakeholders within the Kingdom of Lesotho as a continuation of the effort to support the achievement of political stability in the Kingdom. 


The panel has met with Ntsokoane Samuel Matekane, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Lesotho, Nthomeng Justina Majara Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Law and Parliamentary Affairs Mamonaheng Mokitimi, Chairman of the Senate, Leaders of Opposition Parties Constance Seoposengwe and Ambassador of South Africa in Lesotho with various stakeholders.
